Employability Skills
If you have recently been made redundant, looking to re-enter the job market or retraining, you will probably be wondering where to begin and who to turn to.
There is a lot of free help out there. Support is available to update or create a new CV, job seeking skills and interview techniques and confidence building.
There is even a basic qualification in Employability which you can study to help you feel more confident when seeking work. It will show a prospective employer that you know all about finding work, how to integrate into the workplace comfortably and understand the key skills to working in a team.
If you are not sure what sort of employment to apply for, there is also help with looking at your current or previous skills and seeing what is transferable to a new job. The careers service will be able to help you with this.
Learning Services works in partnership with people who are trained to help you find and prepare for seeking work. Click on the links to see how they can help. If you are not sure where to start, ask one of the Learning Services team who will point you in the right direction.
