The Summer Reading Challenge is a national annual programme produced by The Reading Agency and delivered in partnership with libraries. This exciting new theme will inspire children to tap into a world of imagination through reading, exploring the magical connection between storytelling and nature. Congratulations! you have finished the Summer Reading Challenge

Congratulations to everyone who has successfully completed Story Garden - Summer Reading Challenge 2025!

When you have completed the Challenge, please update your Summer Reading Challenge information on your library account. Please make sure we know the name of your school if you would like your certificate there.

The information below shows you how to update your finishing date and your school information on your library account.

We will be sending certificates for finishers to schools the week beginning 6 October.

Well done for completing the Summer Reading Challenge 2025!

Please make sure you let us know you have completed Story Garden 2025. You can tell us when you are in the library or complete these steps to update your account:

1. Log into your library account and click on personal details

2. Go to the Summer Reading Challenge section and enter the date you finished. Check you have included the name of your school and where you would like to receive your certificate.

3. Click ‘Update' to save the information

Don’t forget to visit the library to collect your medal and any other prizes you need!

Certificates in school

If you want your certificate presented in school please make sure we know where to send it. You can tell us when you are in the library and we will update your records for you, or you can update your own records online by following the steps below.

1. Log in to your library account and click on personal details

2. Go to the Summer Reading Challenge section and look for your school in the drop down menu.

3. If your school is private or not in East Sussex please type the name and town in the 'out of county' box.

4. Click ‘Update' to save the information

Certificates will be sent to schools week beginning 6 October. Schools will decide when they are presented.

Teacher's Reading Challenge

Run by The Reading Agency in partnership with the Open University, the Teachers' Reading Challenge is an opportunity for teachers to expand their knowledge of contemporary children's books.
