Code Club

About Code Clubs

Get hands-on with coding in the library!

Code Club is a nationwide network of after school coding clubs for children aged 8 – 12 years old. Using projects specially created by the Raspberry Pi Foundation, the sessions are designed to build confidence and encourage creativity in 3 different coding languages. Each term has 12 projects for the children to work through, or you can work on your own project with the guidance of our volunteers.

Find a Club near you

We want you to enjoy our events and to minimise any risks to you. We have assessed the risks and have put measures in place.

  • Club spaces will have windows open to improve ventilation
  • Sanitiser will be provided for all attendees and mentors
  • Antibacterial wipes will be provided to wipe down the space and equipment before and after use
  • Plastic dividers have been placed between all computer stations and social distancing is in place

You can help us stay safe:

  • Do not attend a Club if you are displaying symptoms of COVID, or have been asked to isolate due to close contact
  • Bring your own headphones, pens and a notebook.
  • Wear a mask when moving around the Club space
  • Follow social distancing

Please follow all other health and safety guidance in libraries and given by staff.

Volunteer to be a Code Club Mentor

We are always looking for volunteers for our Clubs. Some knowledge of coding is welcome, but not necessary. To find out more about what it takes to volunteer with a Code Club, try the Future Learn course.
