Open Games Sessions in our libraries - all ages welcome. No need to book just drop-in and play!



The libraries have regular rhyme and story times for families. There's no need to book - just come along.
We've got all of the information about locations and times here. Find your nearest sessions and come and join us.

Children under five and their parents and carers can enjoy storytelling in libraries. Staff read from brightly illustrated picture books, pop-up books, lift-the-flap and touchy-feely books. These events are free of charge.

Summer Reading Challenge

The Summer Reading Challenge 2024 begins on Saturday 6th July in East Sussex Libraries. Read or listen to fabulous library books and win prizes for taking part!

Are you ready to join in the fun? You will need to be a library member to take part. It is free and easy to join. Join the library online.

If you are already a member but no longer have your library card, visit your local library and the team will be able to help.

Bookstart - free books for children

The Booktrust Bookstart logo, which is a illustrated parent and child polar bear reading a book together.

Bookstart is a national scheme offering free books to children under 5 years old and advice to their parents on sharing books with children from a very early age.
