BattleBeside the SeasideCoastal towns became popular in the 18th century when doctors began to recommend the health benefits of sea air and sea water.
We will take a nostalgic look at the attractions of the seaside from Victorian times to the present day.
These will include the pier bathing machines, Pierrots, paddle steamers, fashions and local characters, such as Biddy the tubman.
