Create-a-Creature with David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation

Join us for Summer Holiday fun with the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.  Learn about four different habitats where endangered animals live. Then get creative and design and make your own creature in cardboard and craft materials. 

Younger children will need support from a parent / carer.

Creation Walk: Story Telling with Ed Boxall

We are delighted to welcome Ed Boxall back to our libraries this summer to help us celebrate the launch of the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge: Story Garden. 

Ed will be performing 'Creation Walk' and encouraging you to explore this Native American story with him.  After the story you will be able to get your ideas flowing for creative crafts inspired by nature.

This event is suitable for all ages and booking is not required.

Darwin's Cleaner is a new one woman play (written and directed by Saskia Wesnigk) which has been purposefully designed as a "theatre in unusual places piece". The play debuts at the Brighton Fringe festival in May and explores multiple areas including history, the impact of Charles Darwin, questions around status, the roles of women and hidden voices in history.

A creative and fun event for families! Come together to design a mosaic in a small tin, an image or decorative pattern of your choice.

There will be two 60 minutes sessions available 11am and 12pm. Open to all, but the under 8’s need to have a grown up with them!

£10 per participating child or adult.
Children under 8 need accompanying adult.
