Elvis Presley stars in this classic musical based on the book 'The Brothers Reno' by Maurice Geraghty. Young Texan farmer Clint Reno (Presley) is saddened by the news of the death of his big brother Vance (Richard Egan). He doesn't, however, waste any time in declaring his love for Vance's sweetheart Cathy (Debra Paget) and the two get married. When Vance returns home, having been incorrectly declared dead instead of missing, a sibling rivalry for Cathy's affections ensues.
