Glenda Jackson and Peter Finch star in this classic British drama directed by John Schlesinger. Young sculptor Bob Elkin (Murray Head) begins two romantic relationships at the same time, one with middle-aged doctor Daniel Hirsch (Finch) and the other with recently divorced Alex Greville (Jackson). With his desire for freedom the idealistic Bob does not hide the fact that he is involved with both Daniel and Alex, and they in turn accept the situation. However, when Bob is offered an opportunity in New York, Daniel and Alex fear that their love may not be enough to keep the free-spirited Bob from moving on.
