Rhymed reminiscences of Hastings

Brett, Thomas1896
Books, Manuscripts
Imprint:
T. B. Brett, [1896?]
Notes:
Brett's scrapbook containing rhymed reminiscences on local people and events in late 19th century. Indexed.Being cutting partly revised only from Brett's Gazette, the files of which journal are slightly imperfect, this causing some of the reminiscences to be here unavoidably missing. The said cuttings, however, have been so maipulated that the absent lines are not likely to be noticed by general readers. For whatsoever defects in composition may be discovered, an excuse should be partly conceded in teh fact that every line was mentally constructed whilst the author was at the same time actively employed in some mechanical pursuit. The number of lines (including annotations) is over 33 thousand. A second volume is partly written.
