It's a dark night on an empty road. Mike Hammer is heading back to New York when a woman jumps from nowhere into the beam of his headlights. He agrees to give her a lift and continues on his way. Suddenly he is driven off the road and the car pushed off a cliff. Mike survives, the woman does not. Although warned to stay away, he vows revenge.
