Chinese drama based during the time of the Sino-Japanese War. Yu Shi plays Dai Liyan, a house-bound invalid who dreams of times gone by. His wife, Zhou Yuwen (Wei Wei), is stuck in a loveless marriage and has her own dreams of a better future. When Liyan's childhood friend Zhang Zhichen (Li Wei) returns home from Shanghai he is surprised to see that old flame Yuwen is now Liyan's wife. Will Yuwen be able to put aside her feelings for her past love and remain true to her husband in his final days?
