With the support of the Kennedy family Robert Ballard set off to find the patrol torpedo boat in which John F. Kennedy and his crew were almost killed in 1943. The boat collided with a Japanese destroyer and sank but J.F. Kennedy fought to save his crew and by doing so became an all-American hero.
