The British Resistance movement, during WWII were Top Secret. Not even the members family or friends were aware of its existance. After a failed attempt to land saboteurs in Kent prior to Operation Sealion, the Germans decided to send a 2nd party. These men were landed on the banks of the River Cuckmere on Friday 13th September 1940. What they hadn't counted on was that they were spotted by an Auxiliary Unit member. This set off three days of activity and at the end of the third day the Germans had either been captured or killed. Operation Sealion was cancelled on 17th September 1940.
